I’ve been off the grid lately, caught up in the whirlwind of Fall frenzy. Between the release of Queer Mythology, event planning, and gearing up for New York Comic Con, writing has taken a bit of a backseat. But I’ve got a lot in the pipeline, including pieces on gatekeeping through history, Baron Nikki—the first and best vampire, VHS nostalgia, and my personal ranking of worlds I can't stop thinking about.
In the meantime, here’s an exclusive from the launch event for Queer Mythology at Lofty Pigeon Books in Brooklyn. It was a packed house—people from age 1 to 80 came out to hear me introduce the project, read a story, engage in a Q&A, and sign copies. The energy was electric, and the night was unforgettable. Hearing what this book means (or will mean) to so many filled me with gratitude. Thank you to everyone who came, whether familiar faces or new friends—you made the night truly special.
